Nepal Homoeopathic Medical College (N.H.M.C.) introduces itself as the first Homoeopathic Medical college in Nepal. The college with due affiliation with Purbanchal University was established in the year 2002 in Biratnagar. The motto of the college is to produce quality Homoeopathic Doctors. Duration of the course study is five and Half years and degree to be awarded is B.H.M.S. (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery). Currently 3 Batch of students (1st, 2nd and 3rd year) are studying the course in the college.
Apart from above, an outdoor hospital of the college is functioning where patients are treated at nominal cost. The college has a programme to run its 50 bedded indoor hospital within 5 years. Firstly, the indoor hospital will manage 10 bed in the year 2005.
The management of Nepal Homoeopathic Medical College is proud to announce that the college had decided to extend its service by providing mobile health service in the door steps of poor people particularly in rural areas apart from running O.P.D. in the college.
To fulfill the Mobile Health service goal, in the first phase, we are planning to mobilize van equipped with health facility. A brief action and tentative cost to be incurred in the programme is

Plan of Action :
The college management wishesh to mobilise 1 van. The van will be equipped with necessary medicine and other medical equipment. In the fair weather, the van service will be provided both in the interior parts of Terai region as well as the cities and town. The programme will be such that the benifited class and persons be more and more. In the rainy season, the service will be provided in those areas where van could play but in this time also the rural area patient will be notified in advance about the camping area so that they could avail the service.

The patients will have to be registered paying nominal amount which will not be more than Rs. 10.00 this amount will also be considered to the must poor will not be able to provide even this amount, classical medicinal cost will not be charged to the patients. In the camp a part from direct health services various programmes like Health awareness, way of right living, Yoga, Bhajans etc. will be launched.
The college management has a plan t spread this facility through out the country starting from the Terai region.

Tentative No. of persons to be benefited from this facility :-
Directly at least 100 to 150 persons will be benefited in the Camp daily. Normally the camps will be in operation for 200 days per year in different parts of the country.
